So I updated the Bluetooth driver first and it was successful and then the Wi-Fi driver and this time it was successful.

It informed me I needed to update 2 drivers - the WiFi driver and the Bluetooth driver. This time I started from the Intel Driver and Support Assistant on my task bar. Then I went back to installing the Intel Wi-Fi driver. After starting it back up I ran the Sysnative File Collection app, uninstalled an app I had recently installed and disabled 4 startup programs. When I did this it refused to shut down and I received another BSOD with the same stop code: Driver Power State Failure.
So I thought maybe I should close the open apps and restart my PC. No specific reason was given - just that it failed.

The first time I attempted to install the update the install failed. Ok, took your advice MrPepka to update my Intel Wi-Fi driver. I don't know if this is related to my BSOD issues but I now get the feeling there were other issues I was not aware of prior to the BSOD on. It appears all other Windows Defender installs were successful, both before and after. I also noticed today on the Speccy Snapshot there was a large number (383) of failed installs of Security Intelligence Update for Windows Defender Antivirus (KB2267602 Version 1.307.3275.0) on. Then this morning when I started the PC from a sleep state I was informed that I did not have an internet connection (WIFI was working fine) and] after a few minutes it generated a BSOD with a Stop Code: Driver Power State Failure.
